Autism & Sensory Processing: Practical Mentorship Workshop
This 2-day mentorship program is designed for psychology students to bridge the gap between theoretical learning and real-world clinical practice. The workshop focuses on understanding autism through a functional, child-centered approach by integrating Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) with sensory-based strategies.
Participants will gain hands-on insights into identifying behaviour patterns using the ABC (Antecedent–Behaviour–Consequence) model, understanding sensory processing differences, and distinguishing between sensory-driven and behaviour-driven challenges.
By the end of the program, participants will be able to apply foundational ABA techniques, create basic intervention plans combining behavioural and sensory approaches, and build confidence in working with children and effectively communicating with parents.
